SOCIAL SECURITY DISABILITY
If you are under age 65 and unable to work for a period of 12+ months due to illness or injury, you may be eligible for Social Security disability benefits. If you meet or expect to meet the 12-month requirement, then you should consider taking the following steps:
FIRST: Apply for Benefits (We do not typically represent claimants at this stage). It usually takes 3-5 months for you to receive a decision on your initial application.
SECOND: If you are denied, you have 60 days from the date of your denial letter to FILE AN APPEAL in order to get a hearing before an Administrative Law Judge. Email, chat or call our office as soon as you receive your denial letter so that we can evaluate your claim and potentially assist you with the appeal process. We assist claimants by obtaining medical records, developing a theory of their case and representing them at their appeal hearing before the Judge. We do not receive a fee unless the claimant receives their disability benefits.
